Day 4. About TLC . . .

UUJMCA actively condemns and opposes any laws that seek to restrict or deny the rights of transgender people, particularly those targeting transgender youth. We see such legislation as harmful, discriminatory, and a violation of basic human rights. We advocate for the passage of laws that protect transgender people from discrimination in areas like housing, employment, healthcare, and education. We support legislation that affirms transgender people’s gender identity. We encourage congregations to take action against discriminatory legislation through advocacy, education, and support for organizations working to protect transgender rights. UUJMCA thanks Transgender Law Center for their work in the transgender community.
