Love: Transcending Our Differences

Welcome to a new community / congregational year! As we come together once again, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for the work and growth that await us. Our shared commitment to creating, collaborative & relational liberation continues to guide our journey, and I am honored to be on this journey alongside each of you as we deepen our connections and expand our impact.

This year, we will explore the theme of “Love,” a force that transcends our differences and unites us in our pursuit of a just and compassionate world. Love is the foundation of our interfaith work – it is what calls us to be in solidarity with one another, to open our hearts, and to act with courage and conviction.

We begin this year with September’s focus on “Welcome Home.” This theme invites us to create spaces where everyone feels a true sense of belonging, celebrating all our backgrounds, beliefs, or identities. In a world that often seeks to divide us, “Welcome Home” challenges us to build bridges of understanding and connection to celebrate our diversity.

As Progressive Interfaith Alliance, our strength lies in our diversity. We come from different faith traditions, cultures, and experiences, yet we are united by a shared commitment to justice and peace. This year, we will continue to amplify the stories of those who have been marginalized, to work together to dismantle systems of oppression, and to create a world where love and justice prevail.

I invite each of you to engage deeply with our themes, to bring your whole selves to this work, and to contribute your unique perspectives and gifts. Whether you are new to our community or have been with us for years, know that you are an essential part of this alliance, and your presence enriches our collective efforts.
